Day 1

Sawubona! Welcome to South Africa. Your Kruger Short Break starts with an early morning departure from Johannesburg, the ‘City of Gold,’ for an unforgettable adventure in the Greater Kruger National Park ecosystem. If you’re staying at the Holiday Inn Rosebank, the pickup is at 6 a.m., and if you’re at an alternate hotel, pickups start from 5:30 a.m. onwards. The exact pickup time for alternate hotels will be communicated to your hotel reception in the afternoon before your start day, so don’t forget to verify it.

We’ll travel approximately 570 km, taking around 8-9 hours, with stops along the way, before arriving at our intimate lodge in time for a late lunch. Get ready for an incredible 3-hour afternoon game drive in open 4×4 vehicles within a private game reserve. Spotting impalas, zebras, giraffes, lions, and other fascinating animals is an exhilarating experience. The reserve’s lack of boundary fences with Kruger itself means you may encounter species typical of the larger park. During the safari, we’ll take a break at one of the waterholes for refreshments before continuing the game drive into the early evening.

Your accommodation in the greater Kruger offers limited permanent safari-tented rooms, tastefully decorated with private ensuite facilities. The lodge also boasts a comfortable lounge, perfect for mingling with fellow guests over drinks, and you can relax in the swimming pool or shaded deck area. Stay connected with WiFi and indulge in the natural beauty surrounding you in this captivating wilderness.
